my brother said the worst things in life happen to good people.

don't worry, i'm not giving a self-description.

so have you heard, seen, or read the news about julia campbell, the american journalist-turned-peace worker who was found dead somewhere in banawe (yung banawe talaga as in banawe rice terraces, not banawe sa quezon ave)? her blog was hounded with messages of condolence and appreciation, and her family was so grateful that the authorities finally found her body.

what pissed me off was that she was one of the people who strived to help make our country a little better; she's a member of a certain organization that donates, teaches, and lives with people in poverty. and this had to happen to her.

what's worse is that the suspects are yet to be identified.

ironically, the news of her death happened on the same day as the virginia tech massacre.... and she's from virginia as well.

the virginia shooting also was very very disturbing. the culprit even sent a video package to NBC and it contained self-shot videos wherein he rambled about hating the wealthy and some unspecified enemies; i'm not really sure what happened other than his rants and the shooting.

but bottomline is he killed 32 people, injured some more, and eventually he was the 33rd dead person.

wala lang. these things just lingered in my mind and i felt i had to blog about them to clear my head off these things. parang gusto ko tuloy mag-ingat na sobra sa college.

anyway, byebye.
